Tweed Dolls

The idea behind these dolls was to capture some of the traditions of the Outer Hebrides using tweed woven on the Isle of Lewis.

First to be created was a peat girl called Catriona, then another peat girl called Morag. Following close on their heels was Fiona the herring girl who is so far the most popular of the three. They are between 8 and 9 inches tall.
